The rental service where you can find the solution to your close range aerial shooting needs.

In 1992, The FLYING EYE PROJECT produced the first graphite fiber 35mm camera for its unique filming platforms, which were, in turn, designed to provide complete control over this unique and ultralight camera.

The camera has been installed on radio controlled 35mm blimps or TV blimps, for both indoor and outdoor use, as well as helicopters, delta wing, and even on a submarine developed for an award winning documentary about hippos. Almost every modern digital or hi def TV camera below 8 lbs can be installed on any of these flying platforms.  The new small electric heli  will bring even new possibilities for aerial filming.

In 1998, the little Zero Gravity Flying Eye PROP BLIMP was used on the set of the movie "SNAKEEYES" starring Nicholas Cage, while the 35 mm camera movie blimp was shooting scenes for Director Brian De Palma, bringing The FLYING EYE PROJECT 35mmBLIMP CAMERA to America for the first big movie.  In the same year, the delta wing was used on the set of "WHAT DREAMS MAY COME", starring Robin Williams.

Each of The FLYING EYE PROJECT Inc' s rigs shown on this web site satisfies a different need, from fast or slow and different flight ranges to satisfaction of local rules and regulations affecting the film locality; the 35 mm outdoor blimp was approved by the City and Fire Department of New York, and used last year in the film feature, "LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN", starring Josh Harnett, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman.  Always, safety issues are well considered.

The FLYING EYE Project's founder and developer, Angelo Fattoracci, began his career in movie production in Italy while attending university. Angelo began flying remote control (R/C) model airplanes at the age of 13 and developed his flying and building skills to the point that he became the Italian National Pattern Champion in 1975, flying against some of the best known names in Europe.

As Angelo's skills became better known, he was sought out by producers and directors to build and fly specialized R/C flying scale models for the movies.  Soon, he was getting requests for other models and remotely controlled props, from special effects to animatronics, for film, television and commercials, including print ads.  The more unique the better, Angelo can create props from flying or static display models to working industrial mock-ups for product demonstration.  Angelo built his first prop blimp for a television show in 1983, his first interactive animatronics character for a live television show in 1985, and his first Flying Saucer in 1989.  In 2004 Angelo moved to Los Angeles area bringing The Flying  Eye Project to Southern California.

Today, Angelo has worked on over 1000 live television shows, providing electronic effects of every kind, including the live TV camera Blimps. For a more accurate list of assignments along Angelo's career look here
